Pete,
The next release of OpenROAD is scheduled to be the open source
version. Source code will be posted once we have an alpha version of
this release ready. We are not ready to give out any dates on this
project but I will be giving a web cast in late September discussing
this subject.

on the topic of the open source, any idea when it will be
available?

A full "Revert to Last Saved" would probably be more
expensive,
as it requires to clean the cache and fetch the
component again from the repository database.
The methods required to do a full "Revert to Last Saved"
are not documented,
so you'll have to wait until OpenROAD goes Open Source
:)

I suspected I'd have to do it that way, I just wondered
if it was possible to use 'Revert To Last Saved', and save a bit of
coding and memory usage thats all

If you just want to revert the Script (not the
whole component),
why don't you just Duplicate() the Script
attribute (StringObject) of the according CompSource
before you start your changes - and set it back
when you want to revert it?

during runtime?
I'm doing some code changes during runtime, and
would like to revert to the original component script at some point, I
was wondering if anyone had worked out how to access the built in
'Revert To Last Saved' component functionality?
