Hi all,

Suppose I should've posted this on comp.database.ingres, but I'll try
here first...

I've only basic DBA skills, so I'm a little stuck with this problem.
Twice weekly users are getting kicked out of the applications, due to
Ingres NET crashing.

This has been going on for about a year with this client. It seems to
have been swept under the rug as it only happened once a fortnight
previously.

We currently have a script running on the cron checking for ingres net
running every 5 minutes, if it's not, it's restarted. A work-around if
ever I saw one.

I just wandered if there's anything I can check/tweak in particular
which may lead to a solution to this, as they are almost deadset on not
upgrading.
