[Openroad-users] AppServer CallProc throws exception in .NET2005

Hi Durwin,

I have discovered that if a USERCLASS is declared (via PDO),
it must be declared with attributes to avoid this error. One of the
input parameters is an object and the code checks if this reference is
NULL (no attributes are referred to). I have found that if I declare at
least one attribute of the "USERCLASS" attribute, the problem does not
occur. This might not be a BUG, but I will report the issue if you
like. I am also not sure if this is specific to .NET or not.

Thanks,

Fabian.

I have not seen this problem. Does it exhibit the same behavior when
the PDO is driven directly instead of through the ORNET cover classes?
VBScript could be used to try this out directly. It would help to
determine if we are looking at an OR .NET problem or an OpenROAD ORRSO
ActiveX problem. Do you have the exact exception that was thrown?

If you have an issue opened let me know and I will get involved.

2005

Hi All,

I am trying to determine the cause of an exception that
keeps getting thrown by the Remote Server Object (CallProc method) in
Visual Studio Express 2005.

The problem does not appear to occur when the number of Declared
attributes (DeclareAttribute) is reduced for the byref PDO object.

I am not sure of the exact number of attributes needed to cause the
exception, but 150 attributes will cause the problem, but less than 60
works fine.

We are using OpenROAD SP3 p11015.

Any related information on known limitations or BUGs would be
appreciated.

Thanks,

Fabian Anderson
