[Openroad-users] Class Constructors ... do they work?

I have a simple class, with a simple constructor, setting a status value like this CurObject.status_i2 = 999

During runtime I'm getting 'Returning from myclass.UserClassInitializer() due to error' message, followed by a 'Attempt to access an attribute of a NULL object' message.  I'm assuming its the CurObject that is NULL, but how can that be if the Constructor is executing?  

Further more when I debug the constructor and step through the code, I do not get the error, but after several debugged executions of the constructor, the debugger crashes, but not (for once) OpenROAD!

Anyone tried using Constructors sucessfully in OR2006, I'm using the very latest build from Ingres.
