Ingres VIP Program Webinar - June 20

Addressing SOA's Challenges with Ingres Technology

SOA promises higher flexibility and cost reductions by reuse of
software components and business processes in loose-coupled systems. In
order to fulfil these expectations, there are some challenges to meet,
e.g. rapid implementation of new, flexible business processes and easy
change ability of existing processes, redundant data storage, support of
event-driven architecture (EDA) as complementing architecture, platform
and middleware independence, open interfaces and interoperability as
well as integration of mainframe and legacy data and applications.
Ingres offers solutions to answer these problems, from the Business Open
Source DBMS (Ingres2006) over solutions for enterprise-wide transparent
data access (Enterprise Access) to the highly-productive 4GL-IDE for
building distributed, platform-independent and highly-dynamic
applications and services (OpenROAD). These solutions can be easily
integrated into existing application and system environments. Join Bodo
Bergmann , Ingres Sr, OpenROAD Engineer, to learn more.
