Sorry folks - it was just that I wasn't doing the set of cursorposition 
* outside the initialise block *
And, it requires an updfield() as well.

Hi - is it possible to use 4gl code to scroll down to the bottom of a
multiline entryfield?
Setting the field'scursorposition to the last char of the stringobject
does not appear to work,  unless I am missing something.
