[Openroad-users] QueryObject again - different problem

I have a QueryObject that works fine until it tries to query a table
containing a column named 'direct'. I get error E_US09C5 Syntax error on
'direct'...
Looking in the Knowledge Base, I found a similar entry with a different
keyword. The word 'direct' is indeed listed as a keyword in Appendix A
of the SQL Reference Manual. It is listed as used in 4GL (I'm guessing
the ABF kind). I can't find what it's used for and don't really care.
The odd thing is that queries on the same table and mentioning the
'direct' column in the result list, WHERE clause, or SET list work fine
in Terminal Monitor (SQL and ISQL) and in normal SELECTs, INSERTs and
UPDATEs in OpenROAD UserClasses. This column has been around, named
this, for a long time, even dating back to a Vision application.
The only logical reason I can see for this discrepancy is that there
must be a different/additional parser/syntax checker for QueryObjects.
Can anyone explain this? Any suggestions for workarounds? As you might
imagine, renaming the column after all this time could be quite involved
and would not be desirable. I have an issue in with Support, but thought
I'd try the User's Group list also.
