Hi Alex,
Here it is, with all the usual disclaimers ;-)
If your PC should explode using this piece of sw, then I cannot be held responsible
It is exported under OpenROAD 2006, but there is no 2006 specific code in there.
So hopefully you can import it.
If not I think I can make a 4.1 solution too.
I think the code inside the run method could be move to the userevent in the progressbar frame.
This way you can delete the run method.
This might not be as nice a design, but it is a bit more pragmatic and a bit more tight code, I think.
Kim

Take a look at the community.ingres.com .
I have left a changed version of Daves example there.

Ok, here is my example. I added a simple start frame for demonstration.
Enjoy and use whatever you consider helpful.
I do not remember why the calling frame has a waitfor-event. It does not seem necessary.
Cheers, Chris.

Hi All,
I'm not sure how to go about implementing an efficient progress bar, to show the status of a process within the app.
With windows being single threaded (thanks Dave), the only option I have so far is to byref the barfield, but i'm struggling. Late night excuses!!
I've not done anything like this personally before and I just wandered if someone who has could share their ideas/woes/successes?
Cheers,
