[Openroad-users] Resizing column in a TableField

Hi Paul,
We have a similar problem when building a Tablefield dynamically. We add
columns to it based on the DB table being queried, then as we select the
data, we analyze the maximum length of the actual data as it is
retrieved and resize the column accordingly (we don't like horizontal
scrolling, if it can be avoided). This all happens in the INTIALIZE,
before the frame is ever displayed. For the resized columns *sometimes*
the header buttons do not resize properly. I am unable to provide an
export file to Ingres, but have tried several times to create a simple
test case but cannot reproduce the problem.
I hope you have opened an issue with them and get a solution.

Subject: [Openroad-users] Resizing column in a TableField
Hi All!
We have been playing with tablefield header buttons and allowing users
to sort the contents. This works well and we have also managed to
overlay a direction indicator onto the headerbutton to indicate which
column was sorted and in which direction.
Everything is great until the user resizes the column. Then the column
width changes as expected but our indicator doesn't know.
As the headerbuttons are contained in a stackfield we naturally assumed
that the SeparatorMove event would fire and we could catch it - however
it doesn't seem to raise any events (debug - all events). The help files
appear to indicate some restrictions on the childfields of the
stackfields where SeparatorMove is expected.
Has anyone a) come across this themselves? and/or b) found a solution?
Thanks in advance,
Paul
