I opened an issue on the dotted outline.
As I remember It should be fixed in some 2006 patch

Hi Kim,

Exactly... In my other screens where I have ellipseshapes (not in
tablefields), I use up to 3 or 4 colours to show the status of some
condition. Impressed my boss at the time. Little legend off to the side
of the screen, showing each colour and status/description, very cute.

I will use a togglefield with on/off images in this screen, although I
don't like them much... You have to play with images to get the colours
you want and... IF I also combine images with on/off text I get
problems, some weird behaviour with the dotted outline around the text
stays on even when the cursor has moved onto the next field  :<
