[Openroad-users] Ingres/OpenROAD on Windows 64bit

Hello Fabian,

 

OpenROAD 4.1 and Ingres 2.6 SP5 are 32-bit applications.  When running
these in a 64-bit Windows OS, they are subject to the same restrictions
that any 32-bit application that is running on a 64-bit OS.

I will check with the Ingres QA team to see if the 64-bit environments
have been tested with the latest OpenROAD 4.1 SP4/Ingres 2.6 SP5 service
pack.   There may be some outstanding issues.  I know of at least one
customer who is running OpenROAD 2006 and EA 2.6/Ingres 2.6 client on a
64-bit Windows OS.

Hi All,

            Does anyone use a 64bit version of Windows in a supported /
production environment for IngresII / OpenROAD ?

 

We are using OR 4.1 SP3 and IngresII SP5 ... and want to install it all
on an AMD 64bit PC running Windows Server 2003 R2.

 

I am not sure if this configuration is "officially supported" by Ingres.
It would be comforting to know that we are not the only site that wishes
to use Ingres/OpenROAD in this configuration.
