Join Ingres Architect David Tondreau as he unveils the OpenROAD Data
Access Object Generator ("DAOGen") open source project. DAOGen is an
OpenROAD development aid that automatically generates open data services
that can be used in client/server, n-tier and distributed, heterogeneous
applications. DAOGen accelerates software development by allowing
engineers to focus immediately on application assembly, business logic
and user interface design. See how DAOGen can be used to create a
complete library of classes that implement the object-relational mapping
between your database and application environments. David will
demonstrate many aspects of the tool including how DAOGen can regenerate
components based on changes to the database schema and still preserve
customized business logic written in the library. In addition, David
will cover how to become involved in this and other upcoming Ingres open
source projects.
