We have been using eClients on Vista.
You need to turn of UAC and then the same rules apply as for winXP.
I cannot see either why the OpenROAD server shouldn't run

I do not know of any reason why the OpenROAD Server (ORSPO or ORASO) would not run under Vista with UAC turned on or off. I am not so sure about the eClient. We plan to test Vista and Windows Server 2008 during the certification for OpenROAD 2006 SP1.
If you have any specific errors that you are encountering I would be interested. You can either contact me directly or via a Service Desk issue.
